Need help resolving an issue inside your rental?
Read through the advice below before submitting a repair request:

Plumbing Problems
Clogged Toilets
If your toilet clogs, you can typically get the pipes cleared using a plunger. Simply press the plunger into place over the drain hole and ensure the plunger seals against the basin. Move the plunger handle up and down to push the clog through the system. If you're successful, the water should drain.
Sinks/Showers
If your sink or shower won't drain properly, there is likely debris clogging the pipe. Most hardware stores sell drain cleaning tools you can use to pull surface debris from the drain. Please do not use drain cleaning chemicals on your plumbing system, as these could damage the pipes.

Electrical Outages
If you lose electrical power...
- Call SDGE to troubleshoot the outage. There may be problems in your local area or a payment discrepancy on your account.
- Try flipping the breakers which are usually located in hallways, closets or on the outside of the property
- Look for GFIs, outlets with reset buttons usually found in the bathroom, kitchen, or hallway, and try resetting them

No Hot Water
If you don't have hot water in your rental home, find the water heater for your unit and verify that the settings look accurate. If you have a gas powered unit, you should also verify that the pilot light is still lit.
If you make any changes to the settings, wait 15 to 20 minutes before testing the water temperature again.

HVAC Problems
If your heat or air conditioning isn't working properly, locate the central thermostat and verify that all settings look correct. You may be able to turn the system off and back on again to restore the system defaults. -
